What is Privacy Mode?

Privacy mode locks the door from the inside, mobile app users will see a message on their mobile app and see a red LED illumination on the front of the lock. A common scenario to enable privacy mode is on a shared bathroom.

NOTE: The lock requires a multi-purpose button to use this feature.

To Activate Privacy mode on the Centrios Cylindrical Lock

  • Open the Centrios mobile app

  • Click on devices and select the device you want to enable Privacy Mode.

  • Verify privacy mode is enabled in the device details and your door position sensor (DPS) has been calibrated. Note: DPS calibration is usually completed at the time of install but if this step was skipped, click "Begin" to calibrate your DPS and follow the onscreen instructions. Privacy mode requires a properly installed and calibrated door position sensor.

  • With the door closed, press and hold the multi-function button on the back of the lock (above the lever at the base of the battery cover) for (3) seconds.

    You should hear an audible beep and the multi-function button will blink red.

To Deactivate Privacy mode on the Centrios Cylindrical Lock

  • Exit the door from the secure side.
