Cylindrical Lock

I need help removing the outside lever on my Cylindrical Lock (keyed)

Key Override Option (CEx100)

Removing the outside lever on your Cylindrical Lock (keyed)

You will need the lever removal tool or similar and one of the keys to complete this step.

1

Insert the key into the cylinder.

2
Insert the key and turn it (up to 90degrees), insert the lever removal tool into the pin hold on the side of the lever. While applying pressure into the hole towards the lever, pull on the lever to slide off.

💡Note, some force may be required during this step. You will feel the locking mechanism release in the pin hole and you will also see the lever start to pull off the shank.

Lever Disassembly

If you need to disassemble the lever to replace the cylinder or any other lever component, these steps may be useful.

First, here are the parts of the keyed lever.

1
Grab the lever as you would if turning to unlock your door.

2
Use your thumb to apply pressure directly to the face of the cylinder.

3
A plastic retainer will be the first piece to release. You can then remove the retainer and cylinder completely.

Lever Assembly
Reassembly is quite simple. Please reference the image below.

1
Make sure the cylinder tailpiece is
aligned in the same direction as the cylinder
bible .

2
Then, slide the cylinder all the way into the
lever.

3
Press the cylinder retainer into the lever to
restrain the cylinder, ensure the retain is flush with the lever.

💡 When you insert the key, be sure to not press too hard so no parts fall out.
