Privacy mode mimics a manual chain lock or hinge lock. If enabled, credentials will receive an access denied message in their mobile app and see a red LED illumination on the front of the cylindrical lock. A common scenario to enable privacy mode is on a shared bathroom. Currently, this feature is only supported on the Centrios Cylindrical Lock.
To Activate Privacy mode on the Centrios Cylindrical Lock
Open the Centrios mobile app
Click on devices and select the device you want to enable privacy mode on.
Verify privacy mode is enabled in the device details and your door position sensor (DPS) has been calibrated. Note: DPS calibration is usually completed at the time of install but if this step was skipped, click "Begin" to calibrate your DPS and follow the onscreen instructions. Privacy mode requires a properly installed and calibrated door position sensor.
With the door closed, press the multi-function button on the back of the lock (above the lever at the base of the battery cover) and hold for (3) seconds.
You should hear an audible beep and the multi-function button will blink red.
To Deactivate Privacy mode on the Centrios Cylindrical Lock
Exit the door from the secure side.
